The International Day of Working Women and International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8. The first call took place in 1911 in Germany, Austria, Denmark and Switzerland extediéndose its commemoration since then many countries. In 1977 the General Assembly of the Organization of the United Nations (UN) declared March 8 as International Day for Women's Rights and International Peace.
